Our first project involved working with 8 long-term beneficiaries. We wanted a comprehensive approach to education, and simply providing a scholarship did not seem like enough. So, we began working with 8 girls helping supply them some of the resources they would need to succeed in school, including but not limited to: scholarships, boarding fees, school supplies, boarding materials, care packages, mentoring, test costs, field trip costs, uniform fees, haircuts, sanitary pads and other hygiene products, sex and health education, etc. This program sponsors each girl for 5 years assuming they keep up with their school work and attend classes. After those 5 years, students who excel in their studies will be considered for additional scholarships and assistance.
