sex education

Pauline Juliet believes that sex education is a fundamental tool for women, and everyone, which allows one to have full agency over their lives. Some goals we are trying to accomplish are combating: sexual assault/rape, child marriage, teen pregnancy,  STDs and HIV, unhealthy relationships, and kids dropping out of school, while promoting: sexual choice, consent, respectful relationships, family planning, child spacing, and reproductive freedom. We believe that for sex education to reach its full impact it must be comprehensive and continuous, which is why we present sex education at many levels and many different age groups.

Each session is age-appropriate and catered to the specific audience. We cover a wide range of topics and a wide range of protection including but not limited to: condoms, birth control, child-spacing, family planning, withdrawal, abstinence, and faithful, monogamous relationships. All of our sex education and resources come without judgement and shame.

general health

While PJ does not have a regular health education program, we have offered workshops in the past with hired professionals teaching the community about a vast variety of health issues and healthy living. Additionally, we often cover other health issues alongside our Sex Education, including: breast exams, early cancer warning signs and prevention (primarily breast and ovarian), and healthy pregnancies. In the future, we want to help support and train local doulas in the community to promote safe child birth.

menstrual health

Our most common form of health education is our menstrual health lessons. Often these lessons are taught alongside sex education, however, sometimes they are stand alone. These lessons include: menstrual hygiene, healthy menstruation, reproduction, and menopause. Our menstrual health education is accompanied by our menstrual health surveys. More information about this topic can be found on our Sanitary Pad Project page.
